You Are My Shepherd (Psalm 23)

Refrain:  You are my shepherd, O Lord; I shall not want.

            

In green meadows, you let me rest.

By tranquil waters, you lead me to restore my spirit.

You guide me in saving paths, for your name’s sake.

Even were I to walk in death’s shadow,

No evil would I fear with you at my side;

Your shepherd’s rod and staff are there to comfort me.

You prepare a banquet for me, under the eyes of my foes;

You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows.

Surely, kindness and faithful love will follow me all of my life:

My home will be in the house of the Lord for all time to come.
